All of these workshops are designed to teach you portrait and figure painting in outdoor light with emphasis on drawing skills.
We will have models on the beach from 9 am- 12 pm and 2 - 5 pm. Some evening studies or demonstrations (weather permitting) are also possible.
You will broaden your understanding of light through the study of natural color and values in varying light conditions and moods. Emphasis will be on simple portraits and figures similar to Charles Hawthorne's renowned "mud heads".
The workshop participants meet Cedric and Joanette Egeli on Sunday, June 22 at 7:00 pm to get acquainted.
Tuition is $550 per week.

2009 Winter Workshop

Egeli Studio – Edgewater, Maryland
Four weeks of intensive instruction studying the figure
and the portrait. Sculpture starts off the workshop for the first two
weeks. Drawing and Painting takes place during the last two weeks.
